Q: Does Dr. Lucas recommend a certain procedure for new patients?

No, he doesn’t. Here at The Lucas Center, we see each patient as a beautiful individual with unique needs and goals. For example, from one patient to another, there are age differences, skin conditions, allergies, and more to consider. Plus, every patient has their own vision for the aesthetic results they want to achieve. This means that deciding which procedure is best for you is a completely personalized process.

In your consultation with Dr. Lucas, you will discuss these needs, goals, and your health history. After that, Dr. Lucas can give you a recommendation about how to proceed, whether or not you entered the office with a certain procedure in mind.

Q: Which skincare products does Dr. Lucas recommend for new patients?

Just as hydration and good nutrition are vital to your entire body, moisture and key vitamins are crucial to skin health and can help set you up for an excellent recovery from plastic surgery.

The three most important skincare products Dr. Lucas recommends are:

  • A good moisturizer
  • A retinol
  • A vitamin C product

As far as skincare companies, we recommend trusted brands like:

  • SkinMedica
  • EltaMD

Q: Can I schedule a combination of procedures?

Not typically. There are two major reasons that we don’t usually recommend combining procedures:

  1. The length of time you would need to be in surgery and under anesthesia would be too long.
  2. It is safest for you during healing as well. Recovery from multiple major surgeries at once can be too much on your body.

However, there are specific less-invasive techniques that Dr. Lucas can add to some surgeries, such as the use of power-assisted liposuction when you opt for a tummy tuck (assuming you are a good candidate for these procedures).
